Why do Dr. Tracy and Dr. Chris recommend blood screening tests during an annual visit?

You know your pets cannot speak, so they cannot tell you if they feel sick or have any other indicators of internal illness.  The doctors at OVC prefer to examine your pet every 6 to 12 months as well as run some routine screening tests to detect underlying disease BEFORE it is clinically apparent.

Use the age chart below to find your pet's age in "people" years and the screening testing recommended for each stage of his or her life.

We believe the following tests give us the best chance of helping your pets live longer, healthier lives.

These are suggested tests and may vary by gender, species and breed.  We will discuss what is recommended for your pet, and give you an estimate of costs for the tests.
